Your Opportunity: Resource Assistant, NCUR 

Location: Head Office, Calgary AB 

Position Type: One Year, Full-Time Temporary. 

The role of the Resource Assistant is primarily focused on uploading Policy Bordereaux into the system, as well as to provide assistance and support to the National Commercial Underwriting Resources (NCUR) team. The successful candidate will be very attentive to details and have MS Excel knowledge, including experience using formulas to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data. 

This is a temporary full time role for a period of approximately 12 months. 

Your Impact:

Preparation and verification of policy bordereaux data, including completion of test runs to ensure data integrity prior to final upload

Work with Brokers and Underwriters to acquire missing information or to correct information on the Boudreaux

Provide upload support and guidance to internal business units and external contacts

Correct IBC errors and resolve accounting discrepancies as required

Manual entry of policies into the system if unable to upload or due to insurance certificates

Provide administrative support for business testing projects that are related to new system development and/or enhancements

Create and maintain upload tool templates ensuring compliance with coding requirements and IBC regulation

Assist in the development and maintenance of process documentation

Assist with training of staff as needed

Other duties or projects as may be assigned

Your Expertise:

Previous Commercial Insurance experience an asset

Experience with MS Excel and MS Word is required; MS Access considered an asset

Attention to detail, accuracy and pride in quality of work

Committed to providing superior customer service

Effective organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks     

Ability to function effectively in a team environment

Good verbal and written communication skills

Prior project experience and/or system testing considered an asset
