Role Summary:

 

The role of the EFPS Para Planning Consultant is to provide Financial Planning support to the EFPS Regional office.  The role requires a blend of technical ability along with outstanding communication with other members of the EFPS Regional Team. 

 

The EFPS Para Planning Consultant role will include:

Financial data inputting and analyzing the output data

Determining solutions to the various Financial Planning goals stated will be critical

Communicating Financial Planning recommendations made within Financial Plans to EFPS Regional team members

Providing Estate and financial planning services to qualified customers of Sun Life through direct engagement with qualified assigned advisors

Providing personalized comprehensive Financial Plans and Special Reports  to qualified customers via EFPS Regional team members and assigned CSF advisors

Acting as a technical resource for advisors in support of providing advanced personalized comprehensive financial support to their customersThe incumbent in this job has accountability for:

Contributing to CSF sales results by providing EFPS qualified clients with compelling holistic financial planning recommendations.Provide estate and financial planning technical resources for advisors and Financial Centres where necessary and appropriate

Assisting in delivering seminars/presentations on advanced planning topics

Maintaining a current and thorough knowledge of estate and financial planning through research, attending industry related functions, etc.Competencies:

Developing a full competence in the use of EFPS and Sun Life financial planning support tools

Superior verbal and written communication skills

Understanding of Financial Planning principles and standards

Strong analytical ability required to assess a client's financial situation

Facilitation and presentation skills

A consistent record of quality service

Maintenance of a professional image

Ability to foster and promote effective working relationships amongst EFPS Regional team members and assigned CSF advisors.

Full competence in the use of EFPS and Sun Life financial planning support tools.

Demonstrated self-management skills

Sound working knowledge of PC application (i.e. Word, Excel and Powerpoint)

Managing personal workflow and scheduling with EFPS Regional team members and assigned CSF advisors

Identification and referral of Financial Plans that require direct contact from an EFPS Specialist, EFPS Director, and /or  EFPS Regional Director

Working effectively with business partners to provide additional sales support help to advisor with how to approach the product solutions needed to implement a planEducation/Experience:

2 -3+ years in a Financial Planning or related role and one or more of the following accreditations:

CFP/Pl.Fin. (in Québec)

CLU

CSC

PFP
