This is a beautiful lakefront lot on the west shore of Buck Lake Alberta in the Heritage Estates development. It is located at the end of a cul de sac (lot 24) so there is virtually no traffic. The lot measures 100’ along the lakefront X 300’. The north and east edges of the property are tree lined with mature trees for added privacy. The next property (to the north) is 200 feet away.
Along the shoreline, there is a .25km nature trail on crown land. You can see this in the community lot map.
The lot already has a 9000L septic tank and power in place so you can easily pull up your RV or camping trailer and plug in. Underground telephone and gas services are to the property line. There is also a 10’X15’ shed to use as storage.
There is a communal boat dock for the Heritage Estates property owners. It is a short 1 minute walk down the nature trail and so close that you can keep an eye on your boat from your campfire. The boat dock is located between lots 20 and 21.
You do have the option of putting in your own dock, however, it must be removed each winter. Along the north edge of the property, right where the nature trail ends, there is a wide path to the water that would allow you to easily place and remove a dock and boat lift. This is what we used to get to our boat.
There are no time commitments to build and, should you decide to build, the development has reasonable restrictive covenants.
Buck Lake is a quiet, natural lake that is 2 ½ hours from Calgary and 1 hour from Edmonton. Wildlife abounds and it is a perfect place to get away from the city and relax. It isn’t busy like some other Alberta lakes. The low density, large lots almost eliminate the feeling of a city development that many other, more populated lakes seem to convey. The lake is excellent for fishing year round, and boating and swimming are popular in the summer. Snowmobiling and quadding are favorite winter activities around the lake.
