The Investments Fund Specialist role is responsible for selling Franklin Templeton mutual funds to some of Franklin Templeton's most loyal and profitable investors. These clients expect sales and service excellence by way of competent investment advice each time they interact with our business.
Typical clients include:
Franklin Templeton investors who must meet minimum investment account AUM balances and whose needs are not met by other investment advisors.
Franklin Templeton mutual fund investors who are related to existing discretionary or Personal Trust clients of Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada.

The successful incumbent is expected to:
Proactively generate sales to meet net sales/AUM growth targets.
Through proactive call management service clients by reviewing portfolio asset mix and security selection, with the ultimate goal of deepening existing relationships and generating new sales/AUM.
Cross-sell and or retain existing client relationships by referring qualified clients to Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada's products and services.Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
The Investment Fund Specialist must ensure that all mutual fund transactions are executed in accordance with all regulatory, client and enterprise risk management expectations.
In addition and as required by regulation, all newly registered salespeople will be under the mandatory supervision of FTC ISI's Branch Manager Compliance, until appropriate proficiency is demonstrated. Team and Operational Excellence:
The successful candidate will actively contribute and support the team's sales and service efforts, demonstrating a positive work relationship with all team members.
The new team member is expected to continually help improve profitability by recommending and implementing enhancements to new and existing business processes.
The Investment Fund Specialist is expected to maintain superior knowledge of all Franklin Templeton products and services, while executing at a high standard of professional competency.Ideal candidate will have:
University degree or college diploma.
Completion of minimum educational requirements to be registered as a Mutual Fund salesperson (e.g. Canadian Securities Course or IFIC Canadian Investment Funds Course
