Hotel Overview: Experiences are invited at the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire Hotel (A Fairmont Managed Hotel located in the heart of downtown Calgary in the midst of the city's most exciting shopping and recreation area. Our award-winning, 4-diamond, all-suite hotel's neighboring attractions include the Eau Claire Market, Y.M.C.A. and Prince's Island Park - an extensive parkland which plays host to a multitude of Calgary festivals Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Must provide efficient and courteous service to each and every guest (both internal and external) Provide service for guests including, but not limited to: check-in, check-out, telephone inquiries, luggage & vehicle handling, taking reservation calls Follow and maintain the Hotel's Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times Daily task list, including going through arrivals report for that day, printing discrepant room reports, preparing for group and tour arrivals Rushing rooms for early arriving guests with Housekeeping supervisors on a case by case basis Communicate requests and/or problems with other Hotel Departments via 2-way radio system Respond to all guest inquiries and requests as it relates to all Front Office processes by using the Hotel's Property Management System, service recovery module, and be able to demonstrate problem resolution skills Keep the Manager on duty informed of any problems or unusual matters Maintain and balance a cash float during each shift worked Post and balance refreshment centre charges from guest suites Provide Hotel guests with currency exchange Provide Hotel guests with information regarding the Starwood Preferred Guest frequent stay program Provide Hotel guests with information and answer questions about activities and give directions in the Calgary area
Member of the Hotel's Emergency Response Team Qualifications:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Basic understanding of Front Desk and how it relates to the hotel Must be a team player High end service experience or education Must meet Hotel grooming standards Must be willing to work days, evenings and weekends as required GEAC experience preferred but not essentialPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Frequent standing and walking throughout shiftOccasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
