We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join Calgary Office, Finance Department.

The Financial Analyst will ensure the delivery of world-class corporate performance management, budgeting and reporting.

A member of the Calgary Finance Team delivering consistent, timely and relevant information to Senior Management. Key stakeholders include; Calgary Finance Manager and members of the Calgary Leadership team.

Ability to respond quickly, propose insightful solutions and work with multiple executive-level stakeholders is critical.

 

Key Accountabilities; 

Supports the Location Management Reporting processes and systems for the delivery of consistent, accurate and timely management information (financial and statistical) to enable efficient fact based decision making. Analyses and interprets Group/Location management reporting; comparing budget/forecast to actual, including KPI's, key business drivers and trends and overheads. Supports the accurate and timely consolidation of financial and statistical information across the Location, recognizing the complexity arising from the multiple Business Unit and Customer Sector Group nature of the business. Inputs Financial data into Hyperion reporting system and ensure this reconciles to ERP system, with adjustments where required.Prepares monthly Financial Location pack with financial analysis prior to presentation to management. Supports the implementation of 'The Way' to ensure the application of consistent management accounting across locations, in order to provide the Group with consistent information. Communicates and operates effectively between Location and Global.Supports and prepares Location Budgets and rolling forecast processes and systems, including preparation and analysis of Location budgets and forecasts using world class forecasting and reporting systems.Enters data from Operations(Project based and overheads) into Hyperion Reporting system, ensure data accuracy and setup correctly, and compares against expected results and KPI'sSupports the accurate and timely consolidation of Group/Location budgets and forecasts and preparation of Group/Location budget and forecast results.Supports and contributes to the ongoing development of systems and processes to enhance management reporting and budgeting processes.Effectively utilizes IT applications that provide fit-for-purpose information for the business. Supports the development and implementation of dashboards and management reports to meet the needs of all stakeholders.Provide support on more complex projects and ad hoc analysis. Contributes to the design of financial models, scenarios, and sensitivities for projects and reporting requirements.  Applies models and interprets results.
