Position Summary


The Director of Business Development is responsible for hunting and closing net new customers. This positions prospects key target national accounts and strategic regional and local business. The predominant mandate of this role is to generate maximum sales potential for all assigned and targeted accounts within the target customer base, achieve sales and profitability objectives as outlined by the VP sales, and develop and implement strategies and action plans for growth in all areas of OfficeMax Grand & Toy product and service offerings.


Key Qualifications

Post secondary degree or diploma in a business or marketing discipline or the equivalent in work experience

Minimum of 5-8 years consultative experience with at least 2 years within a strategically focused role is an asset

The right candidate will have participated in structured selling technique training programs

Proven experience in facilitation and negotiation techniques within multiple levels of an organization

Strong networker within the Enterprise Large account base, a network of contacts to draw on in order to obtain new business
